A 'Spooktacular' Event for Halloween 2024!
Sunday 27th October saw Shieldbank putting on a 'Spooktacularly' successful Halloween event for children and adults alike. The event was well attended with up to 90 people visiting throughout the morning and afternoon. The clocks went back that morning, allowing all to enjoy a luxurious extra hour in bed providing that extra little energy to enjoy the 'Thriller' activities on offer. As the crowds arrived they were greeted by lighted Pumpkins guarding the car park. There was a scavenger hunt, a photo booth, the Grim Reaper made an appearance and the 'Headless Horseman' was riding around on his horse 'Winston,' Craft events for the kids such as pot painting, coloring in books and marshmallow making were enjoyed. Three brave children crawled through the giant six foot spider's nest. On the haunted cuisine side, the Cafe baked halloween themed cakes. A tempting carrot cake garnished with dripping blood, pumpkin cupcakes, decorated with creepie crawlies and eye balls tempted the attendees.
